Another step of faith! We start going weekly with church services from this Sunday 13th October at 4:30pm. What a blessing it has been to meet together on Sundays and to see people we have met through the cafe and the street evangelism come and check us out on a Sunday- some who have never been to church in their lives! We preach the Gospel in every sermon and some of our sermon topics have included, 'Fighting the good fight of Faith', 'Is there sin in the camp?','Obedience', 'Healing in Jesus.' We hope to have some of these messages available to upload off the Internet in the next month.
The Rock cafe, our outreach ministry continues to be a place where we can reach the lost and share the Gospel one to one. It is encouraging to us that we have seen salvations and had a couple of baptisms. We are also big on discipleship and this is such a blessing to us as we see people growing in their walk with Jesus and being conformed into His image. We are thankful for the dedicated work of all our volunteers who help in all aspects of the ministry and for the unity we have in this precious group of people. What a privilege to serve God together in Hobart.
Our first student to complete her cert 4 in theology and ministry through our Bible college- Vision College Hobart- finished her course this week and another three students are near completion. Lectures fortnightly on a Mon night from 7-9pm are open to anyone, not just enrolled students. It is great to be able to teach and discuss the Word. We are currently lecturing on 'The Authority and authenticity of the Bible', then next month, 'Healing in the New Testament', followed by 'Intercessory prayer.'
