We've been very busy even though the Rock cafe is now no longer in operation. Every Friday and Saturday nights we go out in teams of 2-3, on the streets of Hobart ready, willing and available to share the gospel where we can. The last few weeks we have seen a big turn around in the openness of people to hear about Jesus. We are especially encouraged by the number of teenagers we get to share with, sometimes in groups of 6 or 7 or more. This can be challenging at times but also very rewarding. We look forward to seeing a harvest of souls come into Gods Kingdom as we continue to pray for those we have shared the Gospel with.
Our church meeting is every Sunday at 4;30pm at Criterion House, Mathers Lane, Hobart. Most weeks before church I get to share the Gospel with groups of teens who are hanging out in Mathers Lane. Last week there was a group of skateboarders from a local high school. Although they weren't interested in coming into church, we took out some nibblies for them to enjoy. At all times we endeavour to be ready to share the Gospel wherever we are.
We are now praying for a new building to lease that we can use 24/7. Although we do not envisage running another cafe, we do have a lot of ideas for other activities we can do as an outreach ministry. Watch this space for more details in due season.
