A lot has happened since our last update. The building that we were leasing for the Rock cafe and Love Hobart was taken over by another organization so our lease was terminated. We had 5 weeks notice to leave, so that gave us time to organize a farewell for the final day of the Rock on Friday 9th May 2014. It was a day of celebration as we looked back at all that the Lord had done during our time running the Rock cafe. Many people came by to wish us well and to thank us for all we'd done in serving the community of Hobart with our outreach cafe. While running the cafe, we would have shared the Gospel in excess of a 1000 times and we continue to pray for God to water those seeds.
So where to now? At this time we have relocated our Sunday church meeting to Criterion House, Mathers Lane, Hobart, still meeting at 4:30pm every Sunday. Our Monday night prayer meeting now takes place on the streets of Hobart as we pray around our city. Then there is the street evangelism which we do every Friday and Saturday nights. It's a privilege to get out on the streets of our city and meet the people and share about Jesus Christ the Son of God. During dark mofo, which is a pagan festival in Hobart in June, we hit the streets of Hobart every night for 10 nights to let our lights shine for Jesus Christ, as we prayed, sang, and shared the Gospel with many people. We continue to pray for an outpouring of God's Spirit on this city.
So we continue to pray, praise, give thanks and worship the Lord in everything, and as we wait for the next step for Love Hobart we thank the Lord for all that He has done for us.
