The street evangelism is exciting as we see people becoming more and more open to hear the Gospel ,take Bibles and be prayed for. We were blessed recently to be gifted with 270 Bibles to give out, and most weekends we give out a dozen or so, along with tracts etc.
We are also excited to announce that we are planning an evangelism training seminar for Saturday 2nd May from 1-4pm in Hobart. It is entitled "How to share the Gospel in every day life".If you would like to attend please contact us here to book a spot and to get location details. There is no cost and afternoon tea will be provided. Hopefully this will be a bi-monthly event as we see the need to train and equip others to be able to share the Gospel any time, any place. Not every Christian will be an Evangelist or Street Evangelist but we all need to be willing and able to share the Gospel in fulfilment of the Great Commission whenever we can.
The youth pizza and Bible study night is growing and as there's parents that bring their children we are having an adults time of fellowship, sharing and prayer as well (this night is in recess over the school holidays).
And at church on Sundays we especially encourage involvement from the younger members of our church. For example we've had a 7yr old lead the Lord's supper and an 8 yr old lead the church service. And of course you're never too old to share too. Church is for all generations to meet together to worship the Lord and be blessed and equipped by the preaching of the Word and fellowship with all ages.
