Love Hobart Ministry Team
Of course there are others who help with all the running of church and our outreach ministry and we are thankful for each and everyone. It really is team work and we are blessed to have a helpful, loyal team around us.

​David Devenish is an elder at Love Hobart church. He is also the lead musician on the worship team. He loves music and has stepped into the role of the church musician very well. David does everything from teaching at the guys Bible study, to preaching, to set up and pack up at church and Youth. He is excited to see the Gospel go out in Hobart especially to the Youth. He really enjoys sharing the Gospel with Muslim's.
​David has been married to Helen for 36 years and they have 9 children who all walk with the Lord. Six of their children help at Love Hobart and the others visit from time to time and help out with music if needed.
​In his spare time David likes to write music. One of his most recent hobbies was designing, programming and building a pinball machine called the 'Game of Life' which has been used at our youth nights.

​Helen Devenish is the pastor at Love Hobart. As a pastor and evangelist she does a lot of street ministry in Hobart, especially with the youth. She loves to share about Jesus and also encourage and disciple those in the church and beyond. Helen has studied through Vision College and has her diploma in ministry and theology. She is an ordained minister through Global Apostolic Network.
In recent times Helen has written a book called, “Let’s Go! Fearless Evangelism” and she periodically writes articles for an online magazine. These articles are on our resource page. She has also done live radio interviews on Vision Radio with Neil Johnson and in August 2018 she did one on raising godly kids which can be listened to here.
As an artist, Helen loves to encourage others to paint and draw, and we now have a team of prophetic artists at Love Hobart ministries.
In her spare time Helen loves to do artwork, make journals from scratch, go on prayer walks at her local beach and hang out with her kids and her grandkids.

​Brodie Devenish is one of our Youth pastor's. He is great with the youth spending time listening, discipling, and hanging out with many young guys we meet through the outreach on the streets and at Youth. He helps in so many ways including, set up and pack up at church and youth; giving lifts, doing sound at church, along with running the young guys Bible study group, preaching occasionally.
In his spare time Brodie loves to wake board, surf, ride motor bikes, mountain bikes or dirt bikes as well as help out people in need of anything from fixing their cars to picking up rubbish to cleaning, pruning or fixing anything broken.

Joanne Devenish is the worship leader at Love Hobart as well as the women's ministry coordinator. She heads up the ladies Bible study and organises extra activities for the women. She has a servant heart and helps in many behind the scenes activities, including admin and baking for Youth night, to name a couple. Joanne has her Cert 4 in ministry and theology through Vision College.
​In her spare time Joanne loves to paint and write and is currently writing her second book. A link to her first book is on our resource page.

​Linda Van Der Schoor is our hospitality coordinator. Linda has been with us for some years now and you can read her story on the testimonies page. Linda has helped run the ladies Bible study group when work commitments permit, as well as lead the prayer meeting, share devotions and preach. She also shares regularly in church through prayer, sharing testimonies and leading the Lord's supper. Linda has been training up some of the others in the kitchen to help share the load of food preparation and dishes etc. as the ministry of Love Hobart is very much about feeding the hungry. She has also almost completed her cert 4 in ministry and theology.
In her spare time Linda likes to be creative and enjoys making cards for family and friends.
